In person...
On the web:
I began my teaching career in 1978 and have now taught English in seven secondary schools.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have been a Head of Year and served on the Leadership Team of two schools. I was Assistant Head in a large Leeds comprehensive with responsibility for raising achievement. In this role I developed target-setting and reporting systems, literacy initiatives and the new gifted & talented programme.
Now part-time, I am looking to develop teaching programmes, platforms and partnerships utilising Web2.0 technologies.
I am married with two sons, one of whom works for ITVS in San Francisco and the other for a TV production company in London.
I live with my wife and cat in the World Heritage Site that is Saltaire in the UK.

Kevin always displayed a sense of fairness to pupils in his charge and showed neither fear nor favour in trying to elicit from them a tangible progression through skills and tasks. He famously uses ICT to record marks, cyber-post revision guides and even present his own podcasts of how to tackle papers and texts. Pupils have found his digressions in class engaging and educative in the widest sense, whether they have been learning in the classroom or the Hockney Theatre; his lessons have always been well-paced and purposeful and he has never been reluctant to try dynamic teaching methods to enliven learning.
